Educational purpose of the Conference: to acquaint students with topical issues of fundamental oncology from the development of experimental models of malignant growth, the study of regulatory and metabolic disorders that underlie the tumor disease, and the mechanisms of antitumor resistance based on the concept of general non-specific adaptive reactions of the body, to the development of new approaches to therapy malignant tumors, innovative methods and drugs aimed at suppressing or preventing the development of a malignant process in the experiment, for subsequent implementation in the clinical practice of an oncologist.

Expected results: understanding of the systemic mechanisms of antitumor resistance and ways of their physiological activation will be obtained to increase the effectiveness of antitumor treatment and rehabilitation of patients with oncopathology; the importance of experimental modeling for studying the pathogenesis of a tumor disease will be shown; new information will be obtained on the impact of common pathological processes of non-tumor etiology (chronic neurogenic pain, diabetes mellitus) on the growth of malignant neoplasms; molecular and structural and functional features of experimental tumors of the central nervous system and intestines; antitumor potential of new regulatory and metabolic effects, including mitochondrial therapy; new approaches to tumor immunotherapy and the use of metal-containing nanoparticles with a pronounced antitumor effect, as well as the correction of adhesive regulation disorders in tissues as an effective approach to the prevention of oncogenesis. At the section of Translational Medicine, students will get acquainted with new applied research emerging from fundamental experimental developments.
