Abstract

The relevance of the research work lies in the fact that a significant number of surgical patients are at risk of intra- or postoperative complications, or both, which is associated with prolonged stay in the hospital, costs and mortality. Reducing these risks is important for each individual patient, as well as for health care planners and managers. Insufficient tissue perfusion and cellular oxygenation due to hypovolemia, cardiac dysfunction, or both, are one of the primary causes of perioperative complications. Adequate perioperative management, guided by effective and timely hemodynamic monitoring, can contribute to a reduction of the risk of complications and thus potentially improve outcomes. This article discusses the technique of visualization of the cardiovascular system during the study of patients with perioperative myocardial injury. The purpose of this article is to identify ways to reduce the risk of complications using a specific technique for imaging the cardiovascular system during the study of patients with perioperative myocardial injury. The practical significance of the article implies that the results of the research can be used in the work of medical staff responsible for monitoring patients with myocardial injury in the perioperative period. To determine the most effective imaging technique for the cardiovascular system, an analysis of the existing imaging techniques, their advantages and disadvantages was used.
