The all-russian conference with international participation “Fundamental research in oncology 2024” Rostov-on-Don, Russia, October 24-25, 2024
It has been already the 3rd Annual All-Russian Scientific Conference with international participation, held by the NATIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE FOR ONCOLOGY, Rostov-on-Don, the Russian Ministry of Healthcare, on a regular basis. This year the Conference topics are devoted to FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH IN ONCOLOGY 2024.
The Annual Conference-24 took place on October 24-25, 2024, when autumn in the south of Russia offered to the Conference visitors its bright luxury treasure of bright-colored autumn leaves, high-lighted by the nice sun rays, at a comfortable air temperature. Such a nice enjoyable ambience in the location has given even some charm there, inspiring the Conference participants, attempting to compete with the Conference, but science has been given its absolute priority. The Conference has become a great communicating platform presenting research reports by scientists both off- and on-line. In the pictures herein you can see the Conference IT Center, furnished with most advanced equipment, operated by Andrey Zadera, excellently solving any problems of telecommunication with the Conference speakers both from Russia and abroad, as well as Prof. Elena M. Frantsiyants, presided over the Conference, Deputy Director, responsible for Research at the National Medical Research Center for Oncology in Rostov-on-Don, Doctor of Biological Sciences, and Prof. Alla I. Shikhlyarova, Senior Researcher at the same Center, Doctor of Biological Sciences.
The Conference, which brought together about 200 participants, was structured in such a way so that two separate sections “Topical issues of Fundamental Oncology” and “Translational Therapy” were organized. The list of participants was quite representative, including 3 Academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and 4 Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 63 Doctors of Sciences and 54 Candidates of Sciences, 27 Professors, 2 Honored Researchers and 4 Members of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission. This year, the geographical coverage of the Conference has been expanded with Belarus, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Spain, Great Britain, and Japan. The conference participants represented Medical Universities and Academies, leading Oncological, Radiological, Pharmaceutical Research Centers and Research Institutions from Moscow, Tomsk, St. Petersburg, Minsk, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don, Cheboksary, Pyatigorsk and other cities of Russia.
